About this site

The nature of scientific and indeed most other publishing means that an author's works progressively become more difficult to find as the years go by.

This site adheres to the original idea of the web and provides access to a broad spread of my material including books, invited chapters, scientific papers and software as well as more general topics. It does not contain items as published, only their early forms to protect publisher's investments.

Apart from the books which are available through the normal channels, all my work here is freely available for download and you may use all or part of these works provided you acknowledge their author(s) and this site as their source. The copyright remains with me.

Talk on javelin throwing, training and injuries as part of UKA network events.

Paper on computation and the scientific method. Makes the point that only the release of all materials in scientific computation is compatible with the scientific method.

Updated paper on worldwide hurricane activity. The IPCC has been less than transparent about this so it is important to show the actual data so everybody can make their own minds up.
