About this site

The nature of scientific and indeed most other publishing means that an author's works progressively become more difficult to find as the years go by.

This site adheres to the original idea of the web and provides access to a broad spread of my material including books, invited chapters, scientific papers and software as well as more general topics. It does not contain items as published, only their early forms to protect publisher's investments.

Apart from the books which are available through the normal channels, all my work here is freely available for download and you may use all or part of these works provided you acknowledge their author(s) and this site as their source. The copyright remains with me.

Added keynote at EuroStar 2007, Stockholm. Added keynote at Ericsson testing conference, Linkoping. Added presentation on optimising javelin flight at IMASport07. Added keynote to StarEast '07, Orlando on failure patterns. Added keynote to ACAT '07, Amsterdam on trustworthiness of scientific computations, (lack of would be more accurate). Added short didactic commentary on two excellent videos of a marine seismic airgun being fired. Added new paper + raw dataset + presentation (Mar 2008) on predicting component size distributions in software systems using statistical mechanics. Aug 2007 Added full Windows implementation of a novel chance discovery algorithm for use in bibliographic research. Added new paper comparing MISRA C 1998 and MISRA C 2004 on a population of commercial code.
