An introduction to javelin throwing, training and common injuries. Normally demonstrated with a javelin but after sticking the back end in the ceiling on several occasions, its best done outdoors, or somewhere with a high ceiling. Covers biomechanics and modelling with a bit on strength training and a bit on elbows and shoulders.
This is an event where the athlete's biomechanics are a critical factor in avoiding injury and maximising performance. | None yet | 8 |
