An observation of Michiel's that the simplest of measures of growth familiar to any manager can be usefully applied to predict roughly how quickly software assets will grow. Its an analog of Moore's law but is around 16% per annum (doubling every 4 years or so) compared with Moore's Law of 60% per annum for hardware (doubling every 18 months). Its remarkably accurate.None yet8
